A carpet cleaning company’s main priority is making your carpets look as good as possible. It’s up to you to make sure they can do their job as quickly and efficiently as possible.
There are several things you can do to make sure your office is ready when the cleaners arrive:
- Vacuum the Floor
Make sure the floors are thoroughly vacuumed. This will eliminate a lot of the superficial dirt and allow the cleaners to get straight to the deeply embedded dirt. - Remove Any Fragile Items
Remove any fragile or breakable items that you want to protect. The cleaners will be moving the larger pieces of furniture and using pieces of equipment that could potentially break your valuable items. Avoid by placing your fragile belongings in a safe place. - Clean Baseboards
Wipe down the baseboards, door jams, and railings to get rid of any dust and debris that may stand out after the carpets are cleaned. - Sweep Out Heating Vents
Use your vacuum and clean out heating and cooling vents throughout the office. This prevents dust and debris from being blown into the room during cleaning. - Remove Small Items from the Floor
Remove any small items that are on the floor like trash cans, magazine holders, and door stops. Place them somewhere out of the way, so they won’t have to be moved twice. - Move Any Small Pieces of Furniture
Move any small pieces of furniture that may become a hindrance. Set them on larger pieces of furniture or remove them altogether. - Point Out Problem Areas
Make sure to point out any areas that are particularly stained or marked and let the cleaners know of any other stains that may be hidden under or behind furniture.
